Exchange 2007 transforming subjects into "????"
I have seen many questions regarding similar issues encountered but they all remained unanswered, so I will ask the question again myself. Maybe someone will provide a helpful answer :
We have an Exchange 2007 Server that sends and receive mails by altering the Subject fields into question marks. The problem only appears for foreign languages such as Russian or Japanese.
I looked into the encoding settings and stuff like that but i cannot sort this problem out.
Maybe some of you can provide me a link or information on how to solve this issue ?
Thanks.
Remark : Changing contents in the Active Directory (such as Display Name, Address and other information affects the issue. Depending on the contents, it works or not)...

Check "Control Panel | Regional and language options" and select the
"Languages" tab. You may need to check the "Install files for East
Asian languages". For Russian, I'm not too sure. For Arabic you'd have
to check the "Install files for complex....".

Hello Gen Lin,
Unfortunately, the problem is not solved yet. Installing the languages through the Regional Settings did not solve the issue. However, we're investigating with a third party product supplier that might be the cause of our issue.
I will update this topic once i have a solution.
François
